Bazelet Oglesby is one of the most experienced companies in plant tissue culture with intimate knowledge of the Cannabis Sativa L plant. Our Plant Tissue Culture Center [PTCC] performs a process known as micropropagation, meristem culture, and cloning.

This technology aims to “clone” or otherwise reproduce many identical copies of an elite plant or strain.

Bazelet’s PTCC specializes in tissue culture transformation and breeding with capabilities to produce tens of million Stage II, III, and IV hemp plants annually

LEGACY GENETICS

Bazelet™ has established a nationally recognized genetics and genomics program in collaboration with the molecular biology laboratories with several universities in the United States.

 

Our ongoing research includes dissecting the molecular and biochemical regulation of stress tolerance traits, studying the role of plant microbiome (rhizobium) interactions, genome editing for water and nutrient use efficiency, plant improvement in regionally specific environments and conditions, plant performance, and yield improvement.

Bazelet™’s Maryland team specializes in propagation of Stage II, III, and IV Cannabis-Zero™ Plants.

Plant Production

Through its Licensing Agreement, Bazelet™ contracts with leading plant producers around the world to produce its Cannabis-Zero™ Plants such as Pan2020 and Cannabis America™. The Company has issued plant production licenses (“Licenses”) for the exclusive purchase of the crops off-take. Plant production takes place in the US, Canada, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, and soon in Israel.

This diversification reduces risk while ensuring an uninterrupted supply of plant bio-mass for the production and manufacturing of PECSA™, the company’s primary ingredient. Cannabis-Zero™ program utilizes a bifurcated production plan that includes both outdoor and indoor growing environment.

Similar to McDonalds’ relationship with potato farmers, Bazelet™ accomplishes its plant production and manufacturing through multi-year License Agreements with US and foreign plant producers (“Producers”).

 

Bazelet™ has its Cannabis-Zero™ plants grown in the US in accordance with The Organic Foods Production Act of 1990, as amended (7 U.S.C. 6501 et seq.), requiring producers to operate from an “Organic System Plan” outlining and tracking its organic production or handling operation.

Introducing Cannabis-Zero™

Cannabis-ZERO™, is Bazelet™’s Zero-THC cannabis platform. It is the pursuit of unlocking the diverse medical and industrial uses of cannabis but with zero illegal substances, namely zero THC. Cannabis-Zero™ are next generation plants, federally legal, ready for commercialization. Bazelet™ and its scientific partners have created a new sub-species of cannabis, scientifically different than marijuana and hemp.

As part of the Cannabis-ZERO™ program, Bazelet™ is the Licensed, Patent, Trademark and Manufacturer of Panakeia™, the world’s first and only patented cannabis plant.

Bazelet Landrace Genetics

The origin of the cannabis plant (Cannabis Sativa L.) is thought to be located  around the Indo-China plate over 9000 years ago where present day Tibet is located.  This is based on evidence found in June 2019 by a team of researchers.

Cannabis Sativa L. has evolved and adapted because of its ability to acclimate to various environments. The absence of chronologically recorded data regarding the usage of cannabis in history remains a significant reason for an almost non existent archive of naturally occurring, domesticated, imported, or acclimatized ” varieties from around the world.

At Bazelet™, we are part of the true Landrace Cannabis population. Thus, it is not only a privilege, but also a humble duty to present our observations by carefully assessing the acquired data from the cannabis hotspots around the world in a clear, concise, and scientific manner.

The Bazelet™ classification system and nomenclature for Landrace Cannabis varieties are based upon three major categories influencing the terroir which are, geographical positioning (latitude and altitude), flowering duration, and human impact. Using this classification system, Bazelet and our team of horticulture scientists are able to instantly draw a broad and comprehensive picture around the important details of the Cannabis variety in question.
